​Don has performed in Concert Bands, Orchestras, Jazz Bands, small vocal and instrumental ensembles over the years.  Don attended The University of Western Ontario, where he earned an Honour's Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree, followed by a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Windsor.

Don has educated young musicians at the high school level, for over 3 decades, while volunteering his time to direct & guitar ensembles, concert bands, jazz bands, vocal jazz ensembles, and choirs.  Don's  ensembles competed in local and international music festivals, earning awards of excellence.  Don has played professionally over the years in a variety of ensembles, while also embracing opportunities to play in lounges.​

Don is now retired residing in Fredericton, where he continues to educate students and songwrite.
